Sandra Robinson

We are very sorry to report that Sandra Robinson Sharp died on January 30 in Puerto Rico.

“She was born in Evanston, Illinois, and was raised in Fair Haven. She graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in 1965. During her high school years, she was a cheerleader, a very talented field hockey player and a gymnast.

"She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in modern and foreign languages from Mount Holyoke College. After her college graduation, she entered the teaching field and got her first job at Northfield Mount Hermon Prep School in Massachusetts. It was soon thereafter that she met her future husband, Thomas F. Sharp. They moved back to New Jersey, where they both taught at the Lawrenceville School. Sandra also taught Spanish at Princeton Day School, The Chapin School and Rider University. During this time, she also worked as a translator for the United Nations…”
