Allan was both funny and fun in high school -- his red hair and freckeles danced when he laughed. Talking with him at the last reunion, after 45 long years, was especially meaningful for me. We shared stories about our lives and discussed in great (morbid?) detail our surgeries and continuing heart problems (as only those with heart issues can understand). Allan's honesty and joie de vivre were infectious. How sorry I am that he is now gone.
