It's hard for me to think that Anne is no longer with us. What a big personality she was! She was so inclusive, always welcoming people into her home and always wanting to share music with them, the gift of music being one of the things that lit up her life in more recent years. I loved her droll sense of humor and the fact that she could laugh at herself. I loved that she got a rhyming grandma name! ("Granny Annie"), and that she got so many grandchildren to love. Rest in peace, Annie, with your beloved Gary.
I have known Annie since we first met at the Plunge when we were both 9 years old. She was always sweet, kind, and loving. She will be greatly missed. This photo was taken when we were together in Carlsbad in 2014.
I'm still so saddened and shocked by Anne's passing. I was out to dinner recently in Newport Beach where I live and looked up and saw Anne! Ran up and gave her a big hug. She introduce me to her boyfriend and they seemed really happy together. We made plans to get together since she visited Newport frequently but sadly that did not happen. I've known Anne since second grade and used to go to her house to play. I will never forget one time I was walking down to her house and some woman pulled over and was insistent on giving me a ride. I knew better than to get into her car!
