I didn't know Eric but I have a vague recollection of seeing him at school. One of our researchers has recently been matching siblings from the SPHSAA website to our master records. Eric's sister, Gina '74 said she had a brother, Eric, who went by Rick, went to SP for a little while and he would have graduated in '72. Rick's sophomore photo (above) is in the 1970 Copa.
I knew Rick (Eric) very well. We hung-out together frequently, sometimes at his family's home but mostly out-and-about at parties, meeting girls and into general mischief. We weren't particularly academic, nor involved in school activities at that time in life. I was acquainted with Rick's father, step-mother and his younger sister Gina. I lost touch with Rick following high school, and heard about his passing while I was living in Humboldt County for a year. I grieved over his death for a long time; a phone conversation with Gina, years later, helped me to get some closure. To me, Rick was one of the funniest people I've known; I smile even now.

Do any of you remember Eric (Rick)?
