Rick was a close friend of mine for a few years. We had many good times together--often with Dennis Fallon, and with his wife to be, Sue Dice. We lost touch after SPHS. Although I'm clueless regarding his subsequent life, I was saddened some years ago to learn of his passing. My condolences to his family. RIP Rick.

I was a friend of Laurie Sullivan, who Rick was also friends with, I remember taking a ride with him and Laurie to Golf N Stuff off the 605 Freeway, to play mini golf.  We were having a good time, of course we had been partying, and all was good.  But after that I said I really better try and behave and not do drugs.  That was 1971 or 1972,  so of course this was something we all experimented with (well not all, but a majority of us).  RIP Rick Roberts, you had a unique smile and way about you.  You are missed and gone too soon.  Condolonces to Sue Roberts and family and friends of Rick's, also.  God Bless.

Rick Roberts stuck in my mind for years, even until now after I had forgotten all my friends and everyone else. For some reason that's what I think about when I think of South Pasadena. I always liked Rick Roberts, and of course I didn't even know if that was okay, he was a pretty tough guy. He seemed kind of funny, he made me laugh. Maybe he was my friend, a fierce one. But I really wouldn't know.
