Phyllis Gerenza Kupsch, age 76, of Sayreville, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Old Bridge Regional Hospital.  Born in South River, she has resided in Sayreville for most of her life.  She was a member of many organizations including the Sayreville Seniors, St. Stan's Seniors, Lady's Auxiliary Sayreville Fire Department and a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sayreville. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Lee George "Humphrey" Kupsch, and her brother-in-law Wayne Kupsch.  Surviving are her daugher Susan (Kupsch) Hudson, her brother John Jr. and his wife Lorraine, her brother Gerald (Butch) Gerenza and his wife Barbara, and her "sister at heart" and very best friend Lorraine Pickus and her many beloved nieces and hephes.  She is also survived by her honorary granddaughter Stephanie Spies.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville, followed by a noon service at The First Presbyterian Church in Sayreville.  Burial will take place at Washington Monumental Cemetery in South River.  Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  Letters of consolence, directions and completed arrangements can be found at www.maliszewskimemorialhome.com.
