Marylou Puff Jakubowski  03/03/14 and Walter (Jake) Jakubowski 04/15/14

Married for 48 sweet years, they passed away within weeks of one another  They resided in South River and moved to East Brunswick, before finally settling into Spotswood Township.  Marylou loved diners and bingo.  She was a great seamstress and cook.  She was born to be a Mema.  She truly loved her grandchildren with every cell of her being.  She was an avid life-long Days of Our Lives fan.  She held a coffee klatch every morning on her front porch, affectionately named "The Hummingbird Veranda".  Jake loved all music, from Doo Wop to the Beathes, Elvis and Blondie.  He loved poker with the guys, most all sports and Nascar.  He was a big guy and very athletic throughout his life, playing baseball and was a lifelong Yankee and Giants fan.  He was known to tell a corny joke or two.

Marylou and Jake will always be remembered for how much they enjoyed celebrating holidays and social gatherings with friends and family.  They were fun to be around.  They both loved playing Bacchi ball at Clearwater Village along with their many friends.

Marylou was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Fannie Puff, her sister, Linda Puff and brother, Bill Puff.  Jake was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Mary Jakubowski, his brother Leon Jakubowski and his sister, Lenore Harrington.  They are survived by their children, Wendy Rondeau and husband Bill of Sayreville; Cheri Haberman and husband Danny of Schwenksville, PA and their son Ronald of Spotswood, who was predeceased by his wife Marcia.  They are also survived by eight loving grandchildren who were their pride and joy: Nicole, Kyle, Corinne, Steven, Billy, Kristen, Kendall and Keith, along with many loving nieces and nephews who held them in high esteem.  Jake is also survived by a sister, Louise Zelenkow of East Brunswick and Marylou is survived by a sister, Shirley Van Norman of South Dakota.

In the end they took turns being one another's caretakers.  They are now off on a new adventure, together still, as they just could never be apart from one another.  They were deeply loved by their family and friends and will be missed by all.  Rest in peace Jake and Marylou.
