Kathleen "Kathy" or "Dindy" Knoblock Schaffer passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, with her husband and son at her side.
Born in New Brunswick, she had resided in South River before moving to Parlin 18 years ago. Before her retirement in 2003 she was employed as a legal secretary with Ronald Reba Attorney at Law in South River. Prior to that she was the owner and operator of Kathy's Korner in South River for over 20 years, and before that she worked at Knoblock Brothers in South River as a bookkeeper and secretary. Kathy was a communicant of St. Stephen's Protomartyr R.C. Church in South River where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
She was predeceased by her parents, Anton and Catherine Knoblock. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Robert Schaffer; her sons, Steven of Parlin and Robert of Allentown, and three grandchildren.
