Robert Tyhanic VIEW PROFILE

Robert Tyhanic, age 69, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Community Medical Center, Toms River.  Born in New Brunswick on august 15, 1940, he resided in East Brunswick and Little Egg Harbor before moving to Toms River 10 years ago.  Prior to retiring in 1999, he worked for Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick, Atlantic Electric Company in Northfield and was also owner operator of Ty's Landscaping, East Brunswick.  Tyhanic served in the Army National Guard Reserves and was a communicant of St. Bartholomew RC Church, East Brunswick.  While in Little Egg Harbor he was very involved in coaching both Little League and American Legion.  His passions were working with flowers and plants and enjoying his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Helen Tyhanic.  Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathie Schwalje Tyhanic; 2 sons, Kurt of Toms River and Keith and his wife Maureen of Little Egg Harbor; and 2 grandchildren Brandon and Morgan.

Funeral services were held in the Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunsick, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew RC Church, East Brunswick.  Internment will be at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
