Sharon Kissee was born in 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Ella Kissee. She passed away in 2021 at her home in Middleville, Michigan, where she lived with the love of her life, Mark Treuter, for over 40 years. Together they raised three children, Luke, Serena, and Wendy, and enjoyed the laughter of two grandchildren, Emmett and Zoey. Sharon loved being outdoors and taking in the beauty of God’s creation. If she wasn’t watching the birds enjoying her feeder, or tending to her flowers and garden, you might find her walking the roads near her home picking up litter and waving to friends. Those who loved her characterized her as the true rock of the family. Beyond all worldly things, Sharon loved God fiercely, and placed His worship as her highest priority. She demonstrated true love and faith all her days and passed on that devotion to those around her.
Her high school friends at Southfield Christian School remember her as having a great sense of humor, with the school yearbook recognizing her as “class clown” and “most optimistic.” This writer remembers Sharon publicly praying in class and beginning conversationally with the words, “God, it’s Sharon again...” She had a genuine relationship with God unencumbered with formalities. She and her close friend, Lisa Ratcliff, were like sisters throughout their high school years. Where you found one, the other was always close by. Humorously, Sharon’s senior quote in the yearbook was, “Lord, give me this day my daily opinion and forgive me for the one I had yesterday.” Sharon Kissee was, without doubt, a true original. https://www.goresfuneralservice.com/obituaries/Sharon-Treuter?obId=28985711
