Chris was a kind and friendly student with an amazingly positive attitude. He died from complications related to muscular dystrophy. Memorial information is forthcoming.

I first met Chris at JFK, and was amazed by his positive attitude and sharp wit at a period in life when most teenagers can be driven into major meltdowns over minor problems. It was sad watching his physical condition deteriorate over time, but he had such an amazing spirit and was an inspiration to us all. I guess his quote in the yearbook says it all: "Watch your toes!"

Chris and I spent a lot of time together after high school....we took the same classes at CCSU for 3 years...Chris was majoring in sports psychology ( a major he helped create for the school)...we had such a great time together!! we both picked classes (with the intent of torturing the other I think) like that horrendous astronomy class that I am not sure how I passed and I am sure Chris loved our philosophy class(feminism at its best)...I think the only reason he put up with that was that cute blond Lia in the front row!!! Memories I treasure most are tetris tournaments at his house, skipping class to hit Record Town for the newest Debbie Gibson release, his Yorkie Shasta waiting for him everyday when we got back from school, riding the Amtrak 23 hours to Orlando (still not sure how that guy didn't drop Chris taking him down the escalator in his wheel chair in Grand Central Station)...thinking the train was on fire somewhere in Georgia from all the fog, Disney World!! The Electric Parade was his favorite....Spring Training with both the Red Sox and Yankees (my choice).....countless hours just hanging out...Dr Enck's history class (never wrote so fast in all our lives)...his artistic ability--Chris painted a portrait of Debbie Gibson and got to give it to her at her Birthday Party in NYC...Ralph Lauren shirts, Nikes, toasted peanut butter crackers, perfect hair, the way he'd roll his eyes at my corny jokes, his love for life....
Chris was a remarkable guy...I think of him often and know that I carry a piece of him with me always.....

Chris was an absolutely great person with an abundance of positive spirit. I remember the trip to Sturbridge Village as the first time I really go to know him by carrying around one of ramps. I was honored to be invited to his birthday party shortly thereafter. His parents were absolutely amazing, I remember their love for Chris and absolute joy at him enjoying having his friends around him.
