She attended Spanish Fork schools and graduated with honors from Spanish Fork High School. She attended BYU and graduated with an Elementary/Special Education degree. She taught Special Education at Manila Elementary in Pleasant Grove for 18 years where she loved all of her students and associates.
DeAnn found the love of her life, David C. Allan, and they were married on April 10, 2004 in Spanish Fork.
She loved doing crafts and working with her hands, and especially loved "her babies," Beau and Sammy, the cats. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served in many capacities and was presently serving as the Laurel Advisor in the Young Women's organization.
She is survived by her husband, Dave, Spanish Fork; her father and step-mother Ab and Clara L. Smith, Spanish Fork; brothers, Paul (Marlene) Smith of Lander, Wyoming; and Dan (Leigh) Smith, Alpine; sister, Nancy (Carl) Swenson, Payson; and many nieces and nephews that she loved like her own.
