Todd Stark

Todd Stark, age 51, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, November 20, 2017, at the Tomah Memorial Hospital. He was born May 23, 1966, to Dennis and Marilyn (Yeske) Stark in Sparta, Wisconsin. Todd was a 1984 graduate of Sparta High School. He then attended WWTC where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Service in 1986. Todd was united in marriage to Michelle O’Connor on October 29, 1994, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tomah, Wisconsin.

At a young age, he developed an interest in hot rod cars. Restoring, showing and selling them were some of his favorite pastimes. He was a founding member of the Day in the Park Car Show which ran for 14 years and the Fairest of the Fair Car Show at the Monroe County Fair.

Todd worked as an assistant manager at Big Bear for 2 years and drove truck for Roehl and Gerke Excavating and also worked for Prochnow Farms. He worked at Joel Bemont Chrysler in Black River Falls, WI in Auto Sales before he began his 20 year career working at Larkin’s GMC in Tomah as a salesman and manager. He also recently worked part time at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in Tomah.

He was active in the Tomah Area Community Theatre having helped on many sets and played many roles. Todd also cherished his role as Santa Claus every Christmas season at the Breakfast with Santa, the Special Needs Christmas Party and at the Tomah Rotary Lights, with Michelle and Miranda playing his favorite elves. Todd played an important role in Mr. Ed’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Tomah.

Todd lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He was a great story-teller with a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His greatest role in life was being a dad; he was actively involved in Miranda’s education as well as her extra-curricular activities. He was her biggest fan and supporter and always told her “I will love you forever and a day”.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle, his daughter, Miranda, his father and step-mother, Dennis and Sheila Stark, his grandmother, Ellen Stark, his father-in-law, Dan O’Connor, his brother, Mark Weeden (Janet Gibbens), his sister, Christine (Larry) Arens and niece and nephew, Allyson and Jacob Arens, his sister-in-law, Stacie (Omar Nahar), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn and his mother-in-law, Carolyn O’Connor.
