Thank you, Beverly, for the great pictures! We would like to hear you sing at the next gathering!! I heard that the Chris Enger and group may provide some entertainment as well. It was a great time and now we have lots to look forward to in five years! Can't wait!

AAUGH!! Sing--do you realize how old I've gotten (and how old I'll be by then?) Well, maybe that's incentive to practice...heh-heh-heh But, I'd love to hear the Fourgone Conclusions!

I loved every hug, kiss, smile, and hello from all our classmates at the reunion!! What a fun time and how special to see all those faces again! I thought it was so neat how everyone visited with everyone and we were all able to share old memories and make new ones. You know, I almost didn't go because I had gained so much weight. I'm so glad I did go,(thanks Penny and Nancy, GAry and Lanny)It wouldn't have mattered to me if you all gained, lost or grown extra heads, I was so glad to see you and could tell you felt the same about me! I was sorry to miss SAt. night, especially Gayle's program and Kent's singing. I'd love it if the Fourgone Conclusion would play for us. Chris told me they know "My Girl" We can still dance(and will in 5 years, too!!!) HOpe to see you all again and also those who couldn't make it this time. The pictures are great and no, Jon, your nose isn't THAT big....! I just want to say one more time. I loved seeing everyone and it was GREAT!!! Vicki Rosa Seversen

Well wasn't that just a darned good time;) Thanks to everyone who helped put this shindig together, it was a total and complete hoot! Well done! And for those that were worried that I might fall on them on Friday night, my apologies, but you all seemed to be ok on Saturday night. and to Peter Kruse who wondered if I might get serious at some point, the answer is "at a class reunion, no way"...I had a great time, I truly enjoyed seeing everyone, and god willin' and the crick don't rise, I'll see you in 5 years again...and I still won't be serious...life is way more fun without all that nonsense...

(by the way, Chris, I WILL call you for lunch when you least expect it, so be on the lookout)

My best - Donn

Thank you Kirk and Sue for the additional pictures of the reunion. It is so fun to look at them and remember the faces and the fun we all had! I especially enjoy the ones from Sat. night since I missed it. Looks like so much fun. Wish I was in the "class picture". Should have gotten one Friday night, too. Can't believe that I left my camera home! I drive my family crazy with it.
I've enjoyed keeping in touch with some of the classmates and welcome any "news", updates, and memories from all of you. I still check the class site at least once a week. Love to hear from you all!! Vicki

Being back in Iowa for our 40th (I still tell everbody that it was my 20th, so why those weird looks??--sorry, I digress) was totally awesome, and a lot of fun!! The informal meetings were what we old folks all needed, so that we didn't have to impress anyboby. This has become my business philosophy over the last few years--and it keeps us all more relaxed! It was so much fun to catch up with all of you that attended, and we really need to get the other locals more involved, or to at least to attend. They are really missing out on a very good thing!!

Five years is sure come upon us before we expect it, but we should all be used to that now. We all have to make this next one even better, if we can. I'd love to help if I can, and Fred, keep calling all those people!

I have one more question--what pictures are you all talking about regarding our reunion, and how can I look at them? Do I need to talk to my younger employees ??

Let's keep these good times flowing!!

Peter

Hello, classmates. I would love to see everyone keep their profiles updated. Add new pictures as the days go by and you snap a special moment or event in your life. This site has been so much fun and it is so fun to check the site and see that someone has added a photo or a few words. I try to check the site about once a week and love it when someone has added something.

Vicki,

I think that is a wonderful idea. What a great way to keep up on each other until the next reunion. It has been so much fun to catch up on what everyone is doing through the website. I look forward to being able to be at the next reunion.

Happy fall you all,
Haven't seen much activity on the website since the reunion. What have you all been up to? Would love to hear from you and I know others would too.
Harvest for Lanny has been going well. Beans are out but the rain has slowed the corn being combined. I guess that is okay, it gives Lanny more time to sit in his deer stand.
We are off to the Ia State/Neb game tomorrow. We have skybox seats so we don't have to sit out in the elements. One of the nice perks a seedcorn dealer gets!
I am not much of a football fan but just the atmosphere is wonderful.
Hope you all are well and please get on this thing and tell us how you are doing.

That was one sad game for the Cyclones! That's what you get for picking the wrong Iowa team! My Hawkeyes kicked Wisconsin!! I was screaming, and jumping around , and Gary and I did the dance to "In heaven there is no beer, that's why we drink it here" Too much fun when the Hawkeyes win!!!

hi everybody, it was great to see some of you are still posting responses, would love to see new pics of all your familys thru the next five years.
I did something brave for me, I finally submitted one of my manuscripts, not the one about our class growing up yet, which if you care to give me some personel life changing facts that happened to any of you during our school times I'll try to add it to that manuscript, it would make it more fun, so if you have some fun stuff please e-mail me or leave it on my messages. any way I sent in a script that I had been writing sense 1974, about an old man that had met with tough times in his life and about all the different events that take place in his life, back in the 1940s, it is a fiction book however ,and will not post a non fiction until I see where this goes, I have heard from a publisist from dorrance publishing, and they like the script and are interested in publishing it, it has to go thru a bunch of script editors first and may be cut up so I don't even recognize my work, but keep your fingers crossed, that we can come up with a agreement for publishing, ecspecialy in these economical times. its a book that can be read by your kids and grandkids, its that clean huh!! sorry. Is been fun writing it, so hope I get to see it in print before I die, Huh take care, and lets here from more of you on what your doing now. denese

Good for you, Denese! Good luck. I'll be pulling for you and will certainly buy the book when it is for sale! Would love to see the book about our class. Maybe you could polish it up and bring it to the next reunion. Sounds like fun to me. I actually wrote and submitted a poem that was printed called "The Window of my Heart". Didn't get any money, tho. Would have had to pay to get the book it was printed in. Doesn't that sound a bit weird. I didn't buy the book as I already had the poem. Ha.
Love ya.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I wonder if anybody is still checking this message board? I just finished reading Dewey. Really enjoyed the book and wish I could have met him. I'm sure many of you living in Spencer have your own stories to tell about this very special cat.

Denese,
I see there are notes posted now and again but not often enough. I love to read what others are doing, etc. but not much activity.

I heard that the book was really great. And, now there is going to be a movie!!!! It will be fun to watch the filming of it and the places they film.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I'm sorry I missed the class reunion last summer. Sounds like y'all had a great time. And judging from the photographs of said event, it looked like you had a good time as well.
