My memories of Gary begin around the time we were sophmores. I remember going to Gary's home and hanging out from time to time. Gary's dad served as a Spencer police officer for a period of time and worked with J.H. Christian, Jay's dad. Some of my most recent memories of Gary followed high school during the mid to late 80's when we both were members of the Van Buren Rescue Squad and were on several different calls together and worked different events together. We even had the opportunity to do a little hunting together. In the late 80's we both left the rescue squad and I eventually lost contact with Gary. I had not seen or talked with Gary in quite some time when I heard of his death.
