I am heart broken about Heather's death. Although we hadn't each other for several years, we did keep in contact via phone. Her daughters, Gina Saville and Amy Shellenberg are devastated.

Heather Blume was listed in our 64 yearbook s participating  in Usherettes, Entre Nous (French Club) Choir and Starlighters,a smaller choir. She was at several of our class reunions and wrote in our info books how proud she was of her two daughters, Gina and Amy.  I re-connected with her at our 50th Reunion,as she was on the Davenport Banquet Committee for the planning that we did for two years. She was very witty, and I looked forward to whatever meetings over the past 10 year that she would attend, including our "monthly" LC Ladies Luncheons. Rest in Peace, dear Heather.

I am very sorry to hear of Heather's passing. She was a good friend and in many of my classes. I have seen her over the past few years and she was always cheery as usual.

When my family moved to the South Hill, I attended Wilson School (8th grade) and Heather was one of my first new friends.  She lived in a charming brick home on Cannon Hill Park and we went to a few dances at the Woman's Club....Charlotte Ayres??     I loved her name -- Heather Blume and I was intrigued by her working at her family mattress factory.  Heather was always friendly and funny and I looked forward to seeing her at our LC reunions and luncheons. She looked amazing in her VW Bug.   My heart goes out to her daughters.  I know how difficult it is to lose your mom.

I was really sad to read of Healther's passing!  She was a sweet fun friend, upbeat despite several trials in life.  I remember how fun it was to walk to her house down by Cannon Hill park after school at Wilson elem. - and then, the Not fun part of hiking back up to my house o 29th!  Mostly, I'll always appreciate her for coaxing me into coming to our wonderful 50th Reunion.  She had such a wonderful time on the committee - it was a great time for her!

So sad to hear about Heather.  I did't know her in high school but got to know her during the 50th class reuion and L.C. many lunches.  Life of the party.  She will be missed.  Prayers to her daughters and family.
