Steve and I were good friends especially during our years at Sheridan. I have many fond memories of hanging out with his family. When I returned to Spokane in the 80s with my family I got a call from Steve's dad inviting me to his 50th wedding anniversary. I saw Steve there and my wife and I had him over for dinner shortly after that event. Steve was killed not long after that.

Those of you who never knew Steve missed a special guy. Steve and I became friends my first year at L. C. It was a natural friendship because both of us liked to laugh and Steve could make any one laugh. Steve was smart, intuitive, had a great sense of humor, and could figure out how something worked just by looking at it. Steve was also a master practical joker. Many of those “Unsolved Mysteries” that occurred during our time at L.C. were of his making. Steve we miss you and your Grandma’s 1946 black 4 door Chrysler.
