Gary Ahrens (Ahrens)

AHRENS, GARY age 48, of Bellbrook passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 surrounded by loved ones. Gary is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Trimboli) Ahrens and 3 children: Dean, Adriana and Evelyn Ahrens, his father, Ron Ahrens, sister, Dianne (Todd) Kibbey, 3 nieces: Grace, Olivia and Sophia, 2 nephews: Sean and Caleb. Brother and sister- in- laws: Cecilia (Jeff McGrath), Frank (Alesha) Trimboli, John (Danielle) Trimboli, mother-in- law, Denise Trimboli. He is also survived my many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Ahrens. He loved his wonderful family, his great friends and was an inspirational leader to all. He will be dearly missed. Gary enjoyed reading, all kinds of sports, especially soccer and golf, and loved run including a few marathons. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington University and his masters degree from The University of Dayton. Gary was very active in the Dayton community ranging from charity work, President of The Ahrens Consulting Group (TACG), and coaching soccer. He served in the United States Air Force where he was a commissioner officer after receiving his undergraduate degree and followed by his masters. Gary had a strong work ethic, was an amazing leader, teacher, friend and very compassionate. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, July 19th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering. Funeral Services 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 20th at the funeral home.
