Barry Steven Fischer, 46, of Westlake Village, CA, formerly of Chestnut Ridge, NY, died Wednesday, following a heroic battle with mesothelioma. He was general counsel and chief compliance officer of Zecco Inc., an online securities corporation. Born in Reading, PA, in 1961, he graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1979, received a bachelor's degree from SUNY Bingamton in 1983, and a juris doctorate from Boston University in 1986. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Bryna (Weissman), his three children, Benjamin, 16, Daniel, 13, and Emily, 11, and his mother, Sydelle, of Wanaque, NJ. Also by his three sisters, Miriam Kliewe and her husband John of Stamford, CT, Anne Avni and her husband Aaron, of S. Setauket, NY, and Joan Gerhardt and her husband Douglas of Saratoga Springs, NY, his in-laws, Ellen and Gene Weissman of Newport Richey, FL, and brother-in-law Seth Weissman and his wife, Marie, of Seattle, WA, as well as two nieces and eight nephews.
