Life
Well kids it's been a long ride & far too long to fill in here in any detail. Since I left SHG I went from Wendy Howlett to Wendy Vehovc & back to Wendy Howlett. Then 7/96 became a single Mommy to Jacob Robert Howlett who later died of SIDS (Sudden Ifant Death Syndrome)on 9/16/96. I met Matt Harman 11/13/98, a year later we were married & now live in Decatur & we have a son Joseph who was born in 01/01 & are legal guardians to my niece Amanda (05/95). Finally, 6/1/00 Diagnosed w/ Breast Cancer & since have had many reoccurences. I worked through it all until 9/03. I was off for major back surgery, tried to go back to work but this old body has had enough. Staying home with my kids now & loving it!

As I mentioned somewhere here, I am a volunteer. I was an educator w/ SIDS of IL, but still continue as a volunteer as needed. Help out w/ breast cancer as well. My new endeavor is my pup named Chemo. She will be trained to work as a therapy dog so she & I may do volunteer work at the hospitals & such.

So that's it for me. As you can see by my then & now pictures I look a little older, heavier & a lot balder, but hey I'm still alive!

If you stop in & visit...please let me know. I see there have been visitors but never know who. Or feel free to drop me note.

School
Graduated from St. Agnes Grade School in 1985
Graduated from Sacred Heart Griffin in 1989

Workplace
Since leaving SHG I had a few part time jobs here & there. Got my first real job in 1991 w/ the Sangamon County Sheriff's Department in Criminal Records. Stayed there until 1995 & then became one of "those State Workers" :-) I left State employment for a couple of years & then returned. Had been at the IL Department of Public Health in the Directors Office until I got sick w/ my 2nd round of Breast Cancer. Lost my position while I was gone & when I returned was put to work in Death Records...BAD BAD Match! So between that & a wore out body, I am now a stay at home mommy & loving it!
