Bryant Mitchell Jones, 18 of Springfield died Friday, December19th 2003, at St. John's Hospital. He was born September 21st, 1985, in Springfield, the son of Elry Smith and Michelle Jones.

Mr. Jones graduated from Springfield High School in 2003. He was a full time student at Western Illinois University in Macomb. He was a member of Outreach Ministry in Sherman, Boy Scouts and econd Timothy Baptist Chirch where he was active in the New Testament Bible Study and children's choir. He had played the trumpet with the SHS Band, All City Band and IHSA Band.

Survivors: parents Elry Smith and Michelle Jones, both of Springfield; grandparents, Frankie Smith and Josephine Odenael, both of Springfield; two brothers, Michael David Roseberry of Camp Lejunne, N.C., and Christopher Elry Smith of Springfield: a sister Tiffany Lynn Smith of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
