His memory is indeed a blessing.  Such sad news.

The news of Lee's passing is very sad.  For Lee, however, his suffering is over.  I am thankful that I had the opportunity to talk with him a several weeks ago -- although I know that it was hard for him to even carry on a conversation.  I recently had a friend in DC who passed away from the same complications as Lee and know first hand how difficult this has been for his sister, Sally.  She needs our support.  Lee was one of my very best friends in high school.  We tried to get together whenever we could when he was in NYC or when I would return to Springfield for family visits.  I am glad that we remained friends for so many years -- distance notwithstanding.  His caring ways and dry wit will be deeply missed.

Very sad to hear of Lee's passing. I was unaware of his illness. Prior to planning our last reunion, I hadn'tseen him in a long time.

Sorry to hear about Lee's passing. Seeing him at Roberta's to help plan for the last reunion reminded me that we had known each other since elementary school [over 55 years] Lee was definitely one of the good guys.

Lee left footprints on our hearts. May he rest in peace.

My lasting impression of Lee as a high school classmate - a kind, gentle, humourous soul.  I'm sure that he's now in a much better place ...

RIP Lee. I, too, was unaware of your illness. I would like to have said goodbye to you in person. But you know that...

High School memories for some are not always the best of our lives. I had some good, more bad. It was nice to have a classmate who was a really nice guy who always had a smile for everyone. Lee was fun to talk with and saw the cup as half full even when I felt it had tipped completely over. We lost touch after high school, but we got reacquainted when this website was established. He sent me pictures of Classical-turned-into-condos after a tour he had taken. I could still feel his grin through his email. Yeah, he was one of the good guys.

Lee was my best friend from the age of two, through high school and beyond.  I don't know if I could have survived my teen years as well as I did without him!  Lee, you know I miss you, but I'm glad you're at peace now...
