I remember Richard (Dickie) Stambovsky well - I spent a lot of time on the basketball court with him - by his senior year, he was probably the best player in our class who was not on the school team. More importnatly, he was a great guy - always up and friendly, selfless and uncritical. I lost track of him a couple years out, but his obit indicates he had a rich, rewarding life although marked by sadness. He is not forgotten and all the memories are good ones.
I was very sad to hear that Dickie passed away. We knew each other since our days at FPJHS. Happy to say that we stayed in touch over the years.
He was a great guy who will be missed. My sincere sympathy to his family.

I'm sorry to hear of Dickie's passing. I knew him mostly from playing basketball at the JCC. Teriffic long range shooter.
But more importantly he was respecful & considerate. My sincere condolences to the family & friends he leaves behind.
