After graduation, I went to THE Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) where I met my husband, Doug. We moved to Virginia Beach after we got married, but decided to move back to Columbus and start a family (okay, truth is I was homesick). We have three great kids: Will is 9 and in 4th grade. He's a sports junkie. Charlie is 5 and in kindergarten. He's got one of those "looks" and you know he's up to no good. Lily is 2 going on 22! She's tomboy-tough but also a real drama queen. Doug and I have a co-ed softball team and this year we were lucky enough to have Beth Bennett (much younger Greenon grad) play with us. Between sports and other activities, we're always on the go!
This year has been a big one for us. We both left organizations we had been with for several years and started new jobs. Currently, I'm the marketing manager at a small design/build firm. Before that, I worked in editing and design at a professional association. I really enjoyed that type of work and am getting set-up to do some freelancing. If you ever have a need for newsletters, proofreading, invitations, cards, etc., let me know.(Sorry, shameless plug).
Good Lord, where have 20 years gone?!
Hmmm...let's see...Marsha's 16th birthday party with Lisa, Danea and Joyce (Slow Children); yearbook lunches; campaigning for JJ for class prez; riding around in "the Mav" with Court; soccer; Ameoba; having detention with Buddy the 2nd day of school sophomore year because we couldn't stop laughing during Geometry; learning how to shotgun a beer (especially handy during college); bowling with JJ, Sean Hodge and Grayson; hanging out with Joyce (Do you remember graduation practice when you drove up the sidewalk at Wittenberg?!) So many memories! Lots of good times and many good friends. As Kim (Dewey) said, we were really blessed to have such a tight-knit class!
