Alfred and I became good friends when we were 14 years old. Although we did not keep in touch after high school, we were updated frequently through Al's friendship with my brother Mike at IHC. We were so glad to see each other at the 58th class reunion. As he said "we were pups together". Never easy to lose a friend but know for sure that we will see each other again one day.
Al was a friend from high school. He dated my cousin Lois Hopkins for awhile before dating Luann. He was a swell guy and kept us laughing all of the gtime. I asked him one time who his writer was and of course he had a crazy answer for that too. He will definately leave a void. Juddy Robe
Al and Luanne lived next door to my wife and I in a double on Stanton ave. We played cards on the front porch with the table straddled over the railing so we could hear our kids. We had a good time with them. He always had a joke. He will be missed.
Al has always been a close frfiend of our throughout high shool, primarily because he was alwas in a happy and chearful mood. I do not remember ever seeing Al in a bad mood. My love and prayers go out to his loved ones because I know they will miss the gentle giant. I know I will miss him because he was one of my primary contacts to my classmates and for our reunions. As it is known, we will all meet again on the streets paved with gold! Love all of you, take care, and God bless!

Al was such a fun guy -- jokes and laughter. The world keeps losing good people!
We spent time together in the SHS marching band and in Boy Scouts Troop 1.
