In Memory

R. Neil Cheatham

Posted on Facebook June 2022 by Neil's sister, Elisabeth Cheatham Bond:

As some of you already know, my oldest brother Robert Neil Cheatham passed away this week. I was informed that he passed away from natural causes, having tested positive for COVID. While I am deeply hurt to know that my brother is no longer with us in person, there is comfort in knowing that he is at peace. I am sure he is somewhere trying to reunited with his mother, the founders of Kappa Alpha Psi, USC alumni, and old golfing buddies—as well as taking pictures with the rich and famous to share with everyone 😊.

While I hate to report sad and sensitive news on social media, I know that my brother had a wide range of friends and loved ones and I wanted to make sure that all those who have been thinking and praying for him were aware.

To those who have checked on him and sent prayers, I sincerely thank you. Neil knew he was loved and appreciated the love.

We are still in the process of making arrangements for celebrating/remembering his life—most likely in Ohio/Indiana and l in the Los Angeles area. Since he was living in Las Vegas, NV at the time of his passing, it may take some time for arrangements to be made.

Rest In Peace my Big Brother. I love you and I know you’ll be above looking over me and still trying to boss me around. I thank you and appreciate you being my big brother. -Love Always
