SPRINGFIELD - Marilee Stagner, 64, of Mark Street, died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 10, 2006, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, following a brief illness. She was born September 28, 1942, in Springfield, VT, the daughter of Waldron and Barbara (Miller) Brown. She attended Springfield Public Schools and graduated from Springfield High School in 1960. She later went on to attend hair dressing school in Claremont, NH.

On June 12, 1965, she married Paul E. Stagner in St.Mary's Church in Springfield. For many years, she was employed at the LaParisian Beauty Salon in Springfield, and later worked in Keene, NH as a hair dresser. Her recent career had been as a child-care provider, working for several preschools and day-care centers in the greater Springfield area. Her hobbies included reading, shopping and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Stagner of Springfield; two sons, Paul Stagner Jr. and his wife Tamara of Springfield and Erik Stagner and his wife Rachel of Chester; five grandchildren, her father of Springfield; two sisters, Judy Brown Topolski of Springfield and Susan Beebe of Pawlett; two brothers, Thomas Brown of Strafford and John Brown of Springfield; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church in Springfield. Rev. Michael Gendron of Charlestown NH will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Davis Memorial Chapel on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
