Candia, NH Darrell E. Cummings, 79, of Candia, NH passed away on June 25, 2020 at his home. He was born in Springfield, VT on April 1, 1941, son of the late Ralph E. and Charlene Iona (Trombly) Cummings. Darrell grew up in Springfield, VT and graduated from Springfield High School. He enlisted in the US Army and served from 1961-63. Darrell worked in construction for most of his life and retired at age 65 as a construction superintendent for Maple-Leaf Construction in Nashua, NH. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his travels took him from fishing the Connecticut River in northern NH to Rye Beach to hunting trips in North Dakota and Pennsylvania. Darrell was proud to be a life member of the NRA and he greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his half-sister, Heidi Cummings, and his step-sister, Penny Adamovich. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Bourassa and her husband, A.J., of Rutland, VT; his grandchildren: Alicia Patch, Amber Patch, Timothy Patch, Jr., and Evan Patch; his great-grandchildren: Morgan, AJ, Mark, Brock, Mabel, Judah and Levi. He is also survived by two brothers, David Cummings and his wife, Janice, of Candia, NH, and Donald Cummings and his wife Lynn of South Burlington, VT; half-siblings: Holly Cummings, Terry Cummings, Hayley Cummings; step-brothers: Robert Adamovich and David Adamovich and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00 am, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 321 Derry Rd., in Hudson, NH. A burial service with military honors will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Springfield, VT and will be held on July 12, 2020 at 2pm.
