Charles F. Fish

Springfield - Charles F. Fish, 57, died Tuesday at home.

He was born Jan. 7, 1942 in Rutland, son of Charles and Beulah (Lowell) Fish.

Mr. Fish attended schools in Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School in 1960.  He later attended Springfield High School Co-Op Machine Tool Course, graduating in 1962.

He married Marie McCutcheon on Dec. 30, 1961 in Springfield.  For several years he worked at Pratt & Whitney Company in Hartford, Conn., and returned to Springfield to work for both the Fellows Gear Shaper Company and later the Jones & Lampson Machine Tool Company as a traveling repaiman.  For several years he owned and operated Charlie's Exit 7 Exxon Station and most recently owned his own business in Springfield called "Certified Flagging."

He was a member of St. Johns Masonic Lodge 41 F&AM and also belonged to the Springfield Elks Lodge 1560.

Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne M. Francke of Grafton, Mass., and Amy J. Fish of Lebanon, N.H.; a son, Bradley C. Fish of Springfield; two sisters, Caroline Martin of Springfield and Jayne Streeter of Weathersfield; two grandchildren; two nephews and aunts, a niece and several cousins.

The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Richard Cederholm, pastor of the North Springfield Baptist Church.  Burial will be held at a later date.

Friends may call Thrusday from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Davis Memorial Chapel.  Members of St. John's  Masonic Lodge will hold a service at 7:30 p.m.

Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital - Boston Burns Institute, 51 Blossom St. Boston, Mass.

Kathleen Yoxtheimer (Shelton)

In the second grade, "Charlie" and I were paired in gym class for the dance lessons in the Elm Hill School cafeteria. He was my first dance partner - always remembered. His sense of humor helped us make it through the class, thanks Charlie - RIP
