I am very glad that we found this memory of Ken (thanks to his Wife, Sandy and her brother Lucky. I'm sure he would be pleased to know that North School has now become the "North School Preservation Society". As young ones (see pics of No. School Munchkins) most of us would spend hours after school and weekends playing games that kids play, kick ball, baseball, marbles, jacks, etc and lots of cold winter hours skating, skiing and sliding until well after dark. Unlike today, we had no thought of danger to walk home from there (I lived nearly a mile away). What wonderful, fond memories of a small 'cozy' village school and playground. Sure did hate that fire escape though!!
The new Preservation Society accepts Membership Donations to keep this property available for the Recreation of children and families.
I dearly miss Ken he was a special friend.
