
Francis H. (Frank) Greenwood, 72, of Hillside Terrace and formerly of Vine Street in Claremont, NH died Thursday June 26, 2014 at Valley regional Hospital in Claremont following a period of failing health. He was born May 27, 1942 in Claremont, the son of Howard N. and Clara E. (Jarvis) Greenwood and had been a lifetime Claremont resident. In his earlier years, Francis had been involved in farming and logging. He then worked at Cone Blanchard Machine Co. in Windsor, VT and later worked as a machinist at Lyons Machine Company and as a security officer by Reliable Security. Francis was an Eagle Times motor route driver for 10 years His hobbies included 10-pin bowling, kayaking, archery and reiki.
He was the widower of Cecile (Case) Greenwood, who predeceased him Nov. 21, 2002. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Stanley C. Greenwood.
Members of his family include two daughters, Dawn Zombeck and her husband Michael, of Claremont and Tammy Carnevale and her husband David of Claremont; five grandchildren, Andre LaFreniere, Ashley Lafreniere, Sarah Bedell, Ryan Tallman, and Dustin Tallman; a step-grandchild, Kaytelyn Carnevale; three great-grandchildren, Brennan Tallman, Holden Tallman and Adaya Bedell; a sister, Joyce M. Flemming of Biddeford Maine; and several nieces and nephews
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 28, @ 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. George Jajka, pastor officiating. Interment followed in Mountain View Cementery.
