William E. Hill, III
SPRINGFIELD - A graveside service for William E. Hill, III, 44, formerly of Springfield, who died suddenly Wednesday at his home in Sandy Hook, Conn., will be held Saturday at nooon in the Pine Grove Cemetery in North Springfield. The Rev. Warren Fowler will officiate.
He was born Nov. 21, 1942 in Albany, N.Y., the son of William and Frences (New) Hill.
He was educated in Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School in 1960.
Mr. Hill was vice president of Dick's Heating Co. in Long Island, N.Y., and previously had been employed as an electrical draftsman for Jones and Lamson Machine Co.
He was a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge 41 F&AM, the Skitchewaug Chapter and the AOHH of Springfield.
He was also a member of the Candlewood Valley Corvette Club.
Survivors include his wife, Nita (Thacker) Hill; four sons, Jonathan, Shawn, Kevin and Ricky; his mother of Springfield; two brothers, Robert J. Hill of San Diego, Calif., and Brad Hill of Eugene, Ore.
There will be no calling hours. The Davis Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
