Looking over the pictures that Reggie posted to his Profile Page, it is obvious how much he loved Vermont. Under the picture of the class of 1960 he wrote: The Best. I remember Reg for his smile and sense of humor. He is missed.
Reggie and I had been in touch with each other this summer through this web site. I had no idea that he had a health problem and was looking forward to seeing him at our reunion. We were very good friends at N. Springfield Elementary School and it continued though we did lose track of each other in later years. We did a lot together as young kids and got each other into our share of trouble while growing up. I remember an argument in 3rd grade that turned into a fight over something (probably involving a baseball game). We bloodied each other, cried, shook hands, and the friendship continued without any other disagreements. My heart goes out to his wife and family for I know that he will be missed by many. I will think of him often.
I remember Reggie as always having a big smile on his face and laughing a lot.He Was always a huge fan and supporter the Green and White. I particularly remember him being a baseball nut.
Reggie's family and mine were great friends from our early childhood in No.Spfld. He was always the same - a steady friend and classmate. His wife Nancy, was determined to learn to drive a camper. They had plans to go south in the winter when Reg became ill and could not stay in VT during the cold weather. Nancy asked to use our campground to 'practice' backing that 'darn' thing. It took a few different visits but she mastered it and we never lost a tree!! I am sure it was very tense in the cab and Reg tried to 'drive' from the other seat but Nancy learned very well what to do, in spite of him. We shall miss his laugh and full face smile. The pictures on his profile show his love of his 'home' state. Our memories of Reg are many and priceless. Carol
