READING - Margaret Senna Jenkins, 67, died Sunday, November 22, 2009, at Springfield Hospital.
Margaret was born in Springfield May 30, 1942, daughter of Charles and Ellen (Kelly) Senna.
She attended Reading grade school, graduated from Springfield High School and the Hanover School of Nursing.
Margaret was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Springfield Hospital and later at the Springfield Health & Rehabilitation Center retiring in 2007. She was a nurse who gave it all to her profession.
She married Walter Jenkins in Cavendish in 1983.
Survivors include three sisters, Mary Singleton and her husband Harold, Evelyn Rowler Vittum and her husband Gerald, all of Reading, and Catherine Aiken of Quechee; a sister-in-law, Janet Senna of Cavendish; two stepdaughters, Laurie Anderson and Kathi Kaier; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 2006; a brother, Joseph Senna; and three sisters, Agnes Senna, Helen Senna and Norah Vittum.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening, November 27th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Adams & Kenney Funeral Home in Ludlow. Services will be held on Saturday, November 28th, 2009, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Proctorsville at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Cavendish Village Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at the Church Hall.

The family requests that donations be made to the Springfield Health & Rehabilitation Center, 105 Chester Road, Springfield, VT 05156.

I worked with Peg for several years. She was a very special, caring person and a good nurse. She was close to her family and will be missed by many.
