Gary V. Forrest, 59 of Longmeadow, MA, died Saturday, (November 16, 2002) at a local nursing home after a long illness.

Gary was born in Springfield, VT and attended Springfield, VT schools, graduating from Springfield High School in 1961. Gary enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged in 1965. He graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston and went to work for Hamilton Standard in Windsor as an engineering technician, he was later employed by Combustion Engineering, where he worked until resigning for health reasons.

Gary was predeceased by his sister, Michelle; and his parents, Hilton and Virginia (Aiken) Forrest. He is survived by his wife, Rochelle (Broomfield); a son, Noah; a daughter, Nicole, all of Longmeadow; a sister, Maureen Forrest of Noblesville, IN; a brother, Kevin Forrest of Reading, VT; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral service will be at the convenience of the family with burial at the Mass. Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. The Harold R. Ascher & Son Memorial Chapel is in charge. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Jewish Geriatric Services, 770 Converse St., Longmeadow, MA 01106.
