Clifford Lique

EASTHAMPTON - Clifford F. Lique, 70, of Easthampton, died unexpectedly, at home, on Friday morning Sept. 20, 2013. Born on Dec. 27, 1942, in Springfield, Vt., he was married to the late Georgia (Roys) Lique, his wife of 40 years, and was the son of the late Richard L. and Esther G. (French) Lique.

Growing up in Springfield, Vt., he was a graduate of Springfield High School and served in the United States Army with service in Korea. He was honorably discharged at the rank of staff sergeant.

Cliff also spent many years as a professional cook working at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland, N.H., and for the Bellows Falls Senior Center. After his retirement in 1988, he worked part time for SEVCA as a driver to the elderly. 

Throughout his life, Cliff was a proud member of the American Legion Lawton Post.

Survivors include his daughter, Kelly Constantine of Easthampton, and his son, Steven Lique, of Berlin, N.H. He was a loving grandfather to Jake and Sarah Constantine and Blayze and Mercedes Robbins-Lique. Cliff leaves his brothers, Merle Lique of Cheyenne, Wyo., and his twin, Clifton Lique, of Claremont, N.H. He was predeceased by his brother, Burnham Lique, of Springfield, Vt.

The funeral will be held Wednesday Sept 25, 2013, at 9 a.m. from the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton, MA 01027, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Mass in Our Lady of the Valley Church at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Bellows Falls, Vt. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m.
