Robert E. Pelletier

Robert E. Pelletier, 75, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, June 10 at Springfield Hospital. He was born September 1, 1943 in Springfield, the son of Elwin C. and Gwendolyn (Lashua) Pelletier. He attended Springfield schools, graduating from Springfield High School class of 1961. He served in the US Air Force from 1964 to 1968, serving in Vietnam.

On February 24, 1973 he married Mary LaFrancis in Springfield. He was employed with the Springfield Fire Department from 1969 to 1999, retiring in 1999 as Deputy Chief. Robert was a lifetime member of Robert L. Johnson VFW Post 771 in Springfield.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pelletier, of Springfield.

At his request there will be no services. A private burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery in Springfield at a later date. Contributions may be made in his memory to Springfield Family Center, 365 Summer Street, Springfield, VT 05156. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
