SPRINGFIELD The graveside service for Ralph E. Gamble, 50, a lifelong resident of Springfield, who died Sunday afternoon upon arrival at Springfield Hospital, will be held at a later date in Summer Hill Cemetery. 

He was born May 18, 1943, in Springfield, son of Ralph and Norma (Phillips) Gamble.

 He graduated in 1962 from Springfield High School.

Mr. Gamble was employed at the Parks & Woolson Machine Company and later for Bryant Grinder Corporation. 

He was a member of the Weathersfield Bow Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother of Oxford, Mass.; his father of Hudson, Fla.; two sisters, Norma Olney of Oxford and Roberta Robert of Webster, Mass.; two stepsisters, Christine Quinn of Cavendish and Janet Rollins of Mount Dora, Fla.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

There are no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to" the Bow Baptist Church, RD 2, Springfield, 05156. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Memorial Chapel.
