Judith Ethel Hazeltine

Judith Ethel “Hezze” Hazeltine, 79, passed away on August 2, 2023 at the Springfield Hospital.

She was born on November 20, 1943 in Springfield, VT to the late Allan B. and Ruth (Bingham) Hazeltine.

Judy worked at Mack molding in Cavendish for 40+ years until her retirement at the age of 65. 

Judy loved watching all the old western movies on TV, especially Gun Smoke and Cheyanne. She loved listening to old radio detective stories such as Johnny Dollar. She also loved doing word puzzles, word searches and reading books.

Judy loved sitting on the porch while reading a book and having a conversation with neighbors walking by. 

Judy enjoyed a special neighborhood young man “Thomas Esty” and his Gi Gi (grandmother)as they would stop by often. That always put a smile on her face for most of the day. Judy would always tease her brother Wes on how she saw them that day.

She is survived by her siblings, Sandra Mueller of Queensbury, NY, Pauline Schofield of Marion, KY, Allyn Butler of Salisbury, NC and Wes Hazeltine of Perkinsville, VT.

She was predeceased by her parents, and by her siblings Richard Hazeltine, Pat Benjamin, Rachel Burket and Robert Bingham.

A memorial service will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10:30am at the Perkinsville Church, Perkinsville, VT.

Burial will take place in the Plain Cemetery following the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel, Springfield, VT.
