Jeanette Ellen Hill (Lambert)

Jeanette E. (Hill) Lambert, age 80, of Charlestown, NH, passed away on January 23, 2025, at Dunmore Health Care Center in Pennsylvania. She was born on October 3, 1944 to Thornton and Bernice (Roys) Hill of Perkinsville, VT. Jeanette was a loving mother, devoted sister, and a cherished friend to many.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis M. Lambert, and her dear sister, Rebecca (Becky) Underwood.

She is survived by her two sons, Thornton “Bill” (Natalie) Lambert of Port Orchard, WA, and Michael Lambert of Jacksonville, FL, as well as her two daughters, Lisa (Steve) Kantz of West Lafayette, IN, and Spring (Thomas) Flood of Lake Erie, PA. Jeanette is also survived by her sister, Elly (Richard) Eagan of Richlands, NC, and her brother, Rusty (Kathy) Hill of Perkinsville, VT. Jeanette also had several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren that she dearly loved.

Jeanette attended grade school in Perkinsville and graduated from Springfield High School in 1962 and was a proud member of the VFW Post 771 in Springfield, VT. She served as the former President of the Ladies Auxiliary, where she dedicated her time and energy to supporting veterans and their families.

Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her community made her an invaluable member of society. Jeanette will always be remembered for her warm smile, compassionate heart, and her ability to bring joy to those around her.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Jeanette's life will be held at Davis Memorial Chapel on Friday April 25, 2025 at 11:00 am, a graveside committal will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Springfield.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to VFW Post 771 in Springfield, VT, a cause that was near and dear to Jeanette's heart.

Jeanette leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
