SPRINGFIELD - Kathryn "Kay" L. (Tessier) Hall, age 66, passed away on Feb. 16, 2011. She was born on July 25, 1944 in Springfield, VT and has lived in Springfield, MA for over 40 years. She is predeceased by her parents Fred and Eva Leota (Bisson) Tessier.
Kay worked as a benefits administrator for W.M. Wright Co., for many years before she retired. She attended high school in Springfield, VT, computer courses in MA along with Business School in West Springfield, MA.
She enjoyed photography, crocheting, bird watching, trips to Foxwoods and being around family, friends and her beloved grandchildren. Kay especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's dance recitals and sporting events.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bernard "Tony" Hall, who died in 1984. She is also predeceased by her fiancé, Philip "Phil" S. Taylor, who died in 1993. She leaves her son, John Mellen and his wife Karen of Agawam, 3 daughters, Patricia Plamondon and her husband Robert of Feeding Hills, MA, Susan Aldrich and her husband Joel of Springfield, MA and Julie Butler and her husband Kevin of Wilbraham, MA; her brother Alfred Tessier and his wife Janet of Springfield, VT; her sister-in-law Janet Tessier of FL; her sister Janet Bailey and her husband James of Claremont, NH; 6 grandchildren Jason Plamondon, Jennifer Cooney, Jaimie Plamondon, Cindy Degray, Heather Butler and Meghan Butler. She is pre-deceased by her grandson, Timothy Butler, who died in 1995. She also leaves her beloved great grandson, Robert Cooney.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Sisters Caritas Cancer Center for the loving care provided to her.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 from 4-8 pm at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St., Chicopee. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at the Plymouth Notch Cemetery in Plymouth, VT.

Rosanne Elizabeth Thibault (Putnam)
I don't know how many classmates remember Kathy. She lived on River Street and was with us until through the tenth grade. I remember her because Tessier, in some classes, was just before Thibault. She was a very sweet girl but became pregnant and left school. She and Bob Mellon had an apartment on Buena Vista Place. Hugh and used to visit them. In time I lost track of her. She moved to Massachusetts and I never saw her again. Bunni Putnam
