Michael Grimesey

Mike is survived by his wife, Beth, his three beautiful daughters, seven siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was an amazing brother, husband and father. He is missed every day.

His obituary read as follows:

GRIMESEY, Michael Seton, 44, of Mechanicsville, passed away June 25, 2008 after a courageous year-long struggle with cancer. Prior to the onset of his illness, Mr. Grimesey served as a manager of a CVS Pharmacy in Richmond. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Elizabeth Via Grimesey; and three daughters, Rachel, Katie and Maddie, all of Mechanicsville, Va.; his maternal grandmother, Helen F. Kearney; and his mother and father-in-law, Eleanor and Melvin Tate of Mechanicsville; also surviving are two brothers, Robert P. Grimesey Jr. (Carol) of Covington, Va., and John H. Grimesey (Debbie) of Key West, Fla.; and a sister, Noreen Hill of Alexandria, Va. Mr. Grimesey's parents, Robert P. Grimesey Sr. and Mary T. Prindle, both passed away when he was a young teenager. Mr. Grimesey was subsequently adopted by his maternal uncle and aunt, Wilbur H. and G. Anne Smith of Ashburn, Va. He is also survived by four cousins whom Mr. Grimesey considered to be sisters, Carol Lauffenberger (Jack) of Herndon, Va., Anne Marie Jackson (Jamie) of Winchester, Va., Peggy Bokulic (Jay) and Laura Penny (Billy), both of Ashburn, Va. He is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews.
