Wow, wow, wow! That was awesome, Alex! That took me back to a super sweet time of over 30 years ago...me & Cindy Caraway FLYING down Porterville Road in her daddy's brown & yellow pickup truck, singing, "Sa-tur-day-Night" at the top of our lungs! Oh...those were the days!

my dad loved that song "Afternoon Delight" which was always funny to me cause dad didn't listen to the radio! It felt like saturday morning all over again watching that video. I remember dad coming in for lunch and I would be watching "Band Stand", he would say "could we have a little quiet for lunch?" But after lunch OOOOOh!!!
I hope everyone is doing well and still remembering the good old days. It never got any better than that!
Love, Mary

Oh but it does get better than that Mary cause if you just watched a video on music from '76 and '77 is on today's video of the day then what do you think is gonna be on the video of the day tomorrow? Before you answer that, watch the following video. It seems Joaqin Phoenix(Walk the Line, Ladder 49, The Village) was a guest on the David Letterman show on Wednesday night promoting his new film "Two Lovers" with Gwyneth Paltrow. Or was he? You decide.

I saw that episode, Kevin, and I thought, "What a freak!" He looked like Charles Manson and made about as much sense! What was up with that?!?

Mary, I just can't picture your dad liking "Afternoon Delight." Wasn't that a song about sex in the afternoon?!? LOL!!!! He's such a sweet man-I worked with him at West's years ago.

Hello classmates,

I got an e-mail from Nancy Mizell today and she wanted us to keep her dad and her family in our prayers. For those not aware, Nancy lost her mom earlier this month. I was not aware but Nancy also lost a sister 3 years ago. She can be reached by email if you would like to drop her a line. You can also go to the funeral home website and sign the guestbook at http://www.baileymortuaries.com. I'm sure it would mean a lot to her if you did.

Pam, I don't think Dad really knew what the song was about, he just liked the music. I think he would turn red if I told him.
Kevin, that video was hilarious! The only music video I
recognized was the Bee Gee's and "Grease" and "Take a Chance On Me". "Star Wars", "Grease", in 78 I loooove those movies!!!! I hid my eyes on "Halloween." The guy dancing at the end, I think Michael Jackson got his idea for that red costume from him. That video of Dave Letterman was creepy. He was really out to lunch, snack, and supper that night!
Hope everyone is doing great!
lol Mary

Has anyone seen the pictures that were taken inside our SHS. Someone sent them to Hope (my daughter) on her facebook page. It broke my heart to see what has happened to our beautiful SHS. Someone has broken in to the building and little by little they are destroying it. It is clear whoever is doing this does not have the memories of those ivey walls like the SENSATIONAL SENIORS OF 1978.
