Obituary for Matthew M. Poorman
PERRY, GA - Matthew M. Poorman, 45, formerly of Springville, Utah, was embraced by his Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of August 23, 2016 in Warner Robins, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 200 E. 200 S, Springville, Utah. Friends and Family may visit on Monday, August 29, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, both at Wheeler Mortuary. Burial will be in the Springville City Historic Cemetery immediately following the service. Matt was born to Dennis and Lynne Poorman on May 14, 1971. He grew up in Springville, Utah and attended Springville Schools. He worked in the construction industry. He was a very hard worker and excelled at his trade. Matt made friends easily with his outgoing and friendly personality. He was a very giving person and, even in death, gave the gift of sight to a stranger. He loved to hunt and fish with his best friend and brother, Jeff, and they were inseparable as children. For most of his adult life, he struggled with health problems and addiction. We find peace in knowing that he is free of this pain and suffering. Matt had one son, Brennan Talcott, whom he adored and was so proud of his accomplishments. Matt is survived by his son, Brennan Talcott; his mother and step-father, Lynne and Mike Harlow; his father, Dennis Poorman; his sister, RaeLyn Harrison (Ken); and his brothers, Jeff Poorman (Michelle), and Nate Poorman (Jill). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joey Poorman, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
