Daryl E. Hall                        

age 76, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on July 10, 2026. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 24, 1949 at Ford Hospital Daryl graduated from Lakeview High School in 1967. He furthered his education at Slippery Rock University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education in 1995. After high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969 to 1971. In 1984, he became a certified USTA Tennis Professional. Daryl served as Head Tennis Professional at Colonial Country Club for 12 years before joining the staff of the Mt. Lebanon Tennis Center in 1999. He shared his love of tennis by coaching the Mt. Lebanon High School boys' and girls' tennis teams for more than 15 years and, most recently, serving as assistant coach for the Duquesne University men's and women's tennis teams. He had a passion for coaching, whether it was his children's youth sports teams, countless members of the local tennis community, or collegiate athletes. In addition to tennis, Daryl loved all sports. He played linebacker semi-professionally for the Big Rapids Brewers of the MCFL and was a former member of the South Hills Senior Softball League. Daryl had a deep appreciation for music, especially playing the guitar. He enjoyed playing chess and founded the Brookline Elementary School Chess Club. He eagerly took on any home repair or gardening project, big or small. Daryl's enthusiasm for life was unmatched, and he was always the first to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted husband and father who was immensely proud of his three sons. Daryl is predeceased by his father Fred Hall, mother Lucille (Triplett) Marlow and stepfather James Marlow. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn (Murphy) Hall of Mt. Lebanon; his cherished sons, Jason Hall and his wife, Desiree, of New York, NY, Jameson Hall of Mt. Lebanon, and Connor Hall of New York, NY; his beloved brother, Jimmy Marlow and his wife, Kitty, of Punta Gorda, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, July 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at 2630 W. Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 16, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Daryl's memory to the USTA Foundation to support youth tennis.
