Antoinette DiCicco (Orlando) - Class Of 1965

Antonia "Toni" Orlando, age 62, died peacefully at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit after a long illness. She was born on February 5, 1951 in Valleluce, Italy; the daughter of Francesco and Maria DiCicco. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1955 and settled in St. Clair Shores, where she has been a lifelong resident. She attended St. Joan of Arc Elementary School and graduated Regina High School in 1969.

Toni was employed at Blue Cross-Blue Shield after graduation. In 1972, she married Frederick Orlando at St. Lucy Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores. Fred and Toni owned and operated the 7-Eleven store at the corner of Jefferson and Shook Roads in Harrison Township.

Toni enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning. She and her mom would put up 200-300 quarts of tomatoes every year. The Sunday spaghetti dinner was a legacy started by her mother and continues today. Toni was active in all of her children's activities from being a "school mom" to being an avid fan at their sporting events. Her grandchildren brought her much happiness and joy. She devoted her life to her family and her church.

Toni is survived by her loving husband, Fred; their four sons, Anthony (Sheri), Frank (Meghann), Michael (Abby) and Frederick (Allison); three grandchildren, James, Maria and Katelyn; and her father, Francesco DiCicco. She was predeceased by her mother, Maria DiCicco.
