Gregory A. Bender, 67, of Roseville, passed away in Niles, Michigan on Friday, July 6, 2018 suddenly, of natural causes. He was born on February 8, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Donald and Margaret (Jacques) Bender. Gregory graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School and was in the U.S. Marines Reserves. He was a mold maker and worked in manufacturing most of his life. He enjoyed spending time in nature, especially bird watching, gardening, golfing and fishing. He also enjoyed creating, tinkering, and building and was always taking up new interests. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Margaret. Greg is survived by his daughters, Shelly Bender of Cleveland, Ohio and Angela Bender of Medford, Oregon and previous wife Maggie Bender of Fraser, Michigan, two grandchildren, Isaac and Avery; sister Diane Bender of Roseville, Michigan; brother Duane Bender of Yucaipa, California as well as many other friends and family.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be held on Wednesday July 11, 2018 from 4pm to 7:00pm with a 6pm sharing of memories at Kaul Funeral Home at 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township.

Memorial contributions may be made in Greg’s memory to Macomb Community Action Meals on Wheels.
