Deron, Jana L. Age 75. June 29, 2021. Beloved wife of Edward M. Loving mother of Susan (Peter) Hedemark, and Michael (Ashley) Deron. Proud grandmother of Carly, Holly (Andrew) McCartney, Meghan (fiancé Joshua Guske), Iris, and Eve. Dear sister of Brian G. (Suzanne) Berlenbach and Paula (Jon) Lybeck. Predeceased by parents Alma and Carl Berlenbach. Survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Born in Grosse Pointe Farms and grew up in Grosse Pointe Woods. When she was ill as a child her mother had her blessed by Father Solanus Casey at the Capuchin Center in Detroit. She attended Saint Joan of Arc Catholic School. Graduated from St. Paul High School, Grosse Pointe Farms, Class of 1964 and attended Michigan State University. Had a long career of working in medical care facilities holding a variety of positions including at one stretch a management position. Started at Doctor's Hospital in Detroit, then in sequence Bon Secours Hospital (now Beaumont Grosse Pointe), Eastlake Cardiovascular, and lastly the Office of Dr. Michael J. Dionne, M.D., before retiring at age 62. Also worked a number of years at the (long closed) Village Toy Store and did volunteer work at both what is now Shorepointe Nursing Center and St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Memorial Mass Monday July 19, 11:00am at St Ambrose Catholic Church, 15020 Hampton, Grosse Pointe Park. Charitable contributions to honor Jana's life may be made to the Capuchins.
