Rochelle Schocker

Rochelle Schocker, 58, a resident of Armada, died Thursday, July 20, 2006, in Bon Secours Hospital, Grosse Pointe. She was born June 10, 1948, in Rochester, N.Y. 

 
Mrs. Schocker was a retired teacher for Detroit Public Schools. She was also former staff of St. Joan of Arc Elementary School, where she coached volleyball for many years. Family members called her "the best mom ever" and a "proud grammy."

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Schocker; children, Colleen O'Shell and Kelly (Jason) Beke; granddaughter, Emma Rochelle Beke; 15 step-grandchildren; and sister, Theodora Bianchi.

She was predeceased by her mother, Johanna Rago; and brother, Donald Metildi.
