Carolyn Schram - Class Of 1975 VIEW PROFILE

Carolyn M. Schram, age 52, died unexpectedly on January 29, 2014 at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. Carolyn was born on August 16, 1961 in Grosse Pointe, the daughter of Ronald and Elaine Schram. She graduated Bishop Gallagher High School in Harper Woods in 1979. She continued her education, earning an Associates Degree from Macomb College majoring in veterinary science. She was employed by the Nash Veterinary Hospital in St. Clair Shores as a technician from 1982 until her health forced her retirement in 2013.

Carolyn was fond of everything outdoors. She loved summer and all of the activities warm weather brought. She liked to travel, camp, hike and being Up North. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed football too, but not necessarily the Lions. She was looking forward to the winter Olympics in Sochi. Carolyn and her sister Sue traveled to two previous Olympic games. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and the arts. She was an animal lover.

Carolyn is survived by her mother, Elaine Schram; her siblings, Susan Schram, Michael Schram (Debbie), Elizabeth Salame (John), John Schram (Jill), Ellen Nysen (Jerome), Robert Schram (Kelly) and William Schram (Kristin); 14 nieces and nephews, Ben and Sara Schram; John, Joel, Justin and Jeremy Salame; Marena Schram and Jaylin and Joe Sharp; Brooke, Piper and Jack Nysen; Dexter Schram and Serina Schram; four grandnieces and grandnephews, Autumn, Cole, Noah and Carson Salame; uncles, Jack Schram (Maryann) and Bill Schram. She was predeceased by her father Ronald Schram and her aunt Maryann Cameron, uncle Gerald Pelltier and Sharon Pelltier.
